Overview
Role Summary: Monitors and Coordinates flow of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) patients coming in and going out of the ED. Obtains and communicates pertinent information to the ED NUS.
Required Education: EMS Certificate with Community College or Associate of Science in EMS. Must complete and maintain continuing education or re-certification class as required by NC OEMS.
Preferred Education: Bachelors of Science in EMS
Required License: North Carolina EMT-P certification, North Carolina EMT-B, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with previous emergency medical services (EMS) experience. Must obtain BCLS. ACLS.
Required Experience: 2 years pre-hospital or hospital experience
Preferred Experience: EMS, paramedic or telecommunications experience
