Mission Health boasts a progressive, innovative and highly advanced EMS system that encompasses three rural -county 911 EMS units, an in-house Air Medical team, robust and growing Regional Transport Services, Behavioral Transport Services, Telecommunications, Regional Disaster Preparedness and Disaster Relief in addition to six Emergency Departments serving 19 counties in Western North Carolina. About Regional Transport Services at Mission Health:
Our Regional Transport Services at Mission Health complete 25,000 inter-facility ground transports and discharges per year while managing over 150 true Critical Care Transports annually. Our RTS Critical Care Teams consists of one EMT, one Paramedic and one Critical Care Paramedic for mobile ICU support. Our state-of-the-art Rescue Promedic ambulances carry Zoll X-series Monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Ferno iNX Stretchers and Newport HT-70 ventilators that are just part of our cutting-edge ambulatory ICU environment. Job Summary: Perform advanced assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care and administration of advanced medication formulary during the care of critically ill or injured patients. Assumes responsibility for the operation and maintenance of emergency vehicles.
Required Education: EMS Certificate from Community College or Associate of Science in EMS. Must complete and maintain continuing education or re-certification class as required by NC OEMS.
Preferred Education: Bachelors in EMS
Required License: UMBC CCEMT-P certification, North Carolina Paramedic certification, North Carolina drivers license and must meet insurance guidelines, must have BCLS, ITLS or PHTLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP. Must have a valid NC driver's license or procure one within 30 days of employment unless an out-of-state commuter, at least two years of satisfactory driving experience and be at least 25 years of age to meet the Mission Health established insurance guidelines.
Preferred License: National Registry.
Required Experience: Two years of full time active paramedic level primary EMS or Critical Care transport service experience or combination thereof.
Preferred Experience: Three to five years of full time active paramedic level primary EMS or Critical Care transport service experience or combination thereof
