JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Mission Hospital Radiology CT and MRI services. Provides oversight and leadership to create exceptional patient experience and working environment for staff and providers. Position has oversight of the quality, service, cost and operational integrity of all CT radiology services as well as other assigned modality. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided. Assures competency of all personnel maintains efficient and effective department operation while maintaining compliance with all ACR, and State of North Carolina within quality and regulatory guidelines. Observes strict confidentiality in dealing with patients, families, and co-workers. Collaborates with key stakeholders including referring physicians, Asheville Radiology Associates and Mission Health leadership to provide optimal service and quality. Develops and executes the strategic direction for CT services as well as other modality of responsibility in collaboration with the Director Radiology and other Mission executives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Associates Degree
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or related field strongly preferred
REQUIRED LICENSE: ARRT Certification with advanced level certification in CT
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated experience in successfully leading CT services in successful accreditation American College of Radiology (ACR) and The Joint Commission. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Intranet software, e-mail. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead and develop staff. Strong operations, communication, and customer service skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 5 Years of supervisory experience in CT services. Strong background in CT and MRI.
