Job Summary: Performs environmental service duties that promote a safe, clean, sanitary and aesthetically pleasing environments that contribute to the healing process. Routinely demonstrates both knowledge and skill in the safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques and infection control methods necessary to maintain the departments established quality standards. Demonstrates competence in the safe handling, removal and internal transport of solid, recycling, medical waste, and hazardous drug wastes. Is considerate, courteous and polite to all who enter the facility, demonstrating the key values and concern and providing assistance as required. Role requires 8-Hours Hazardous Waste Management -Awareness Training (40CFR 265.16) and DOT manifest training as a haz- mat employee.
Required Education: None8 Hours Hazardous Waste Management -Awareness Training required within 90 days of employment. Training to be renewed every three years.
Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED,8 Hour RCRA Training- DOT Training on manifest signing as HAZ-MAT employee.
