Overview
Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Paratransit Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of PACE participants including transport of paratransit (ambulatory and wheelchair-bound) participants, durable medical equipment, pharmacy and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Responsible for overall cleanliness and safety of the vehicle assigned on a daily basis. Responsible for communicating any safety issue(s) to the Transportation Manager.
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certification: NC Driver's License, BLS, First Aid
Preferred License: Class B CDL with P Endorsement
Required Experience: One year experience working with and/or transporting the frail and elderly.
Preferred Experience: Bus driver for schools or at risk populations.
