Mission Hospital is looking for a Supervisor of Speech Language Pathology to join our Mission Health team! This role would be responsible for leading the acute care speech language pathology department at Mission Hospital. The speech language pathology team at Mission Hospital treats a variety of patient populations, including stroke, TBI, trauma, cardiology, head and neck cancer, and general medical.
Role Summary: Supervises acute care rehabilitation components. Ensures continuous improvement in therapy services and patient experience. Develops and grows the speech language pathology team. Establishing sound relationships with physicians, clinicians, nurses, and other key stakeholders to accomplish service line goals. Coordinates treatment and provides therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions that are consistent with the discipline's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. Works collaboratively with clinical and other departments to ensure timely and appropriate care for patients. Holds staff accountable for meeting policies and standards of operations. Coaches staff appropriately for improved performance. Demonstrates stewardship in regard to financial resources.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), or related field.
Preferred Education: Master's or advanced clinical degree, Business, or Healthcare Administration
Required License: Current NC license to practice in Speech Pathology
Required Experience: 2 years of clinical practice. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, internet, MS Office. Demonstrated ability to manage clinical operations, business and financial planning, and quality improvement projects. Leads and develops staff members. Strong operations, communication, financial, and customer service skills required.
Preferred Experience: 1 year of supervisory experience of clinical rehabilitation services.
