CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital is an 80-bed inpatient post-acute care hospital that has been providing rehabilitation care since 1939. Formerly known as “Thoms”, we are recognized across the Southeast as a leading provider of physical medicine and rehabilitation services. Our Nursing and CNA staff work very closely with physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapists among others. Our primary goal is always to get the patient back to the highest level of independence (and hopefully back home) and the average patient stay is 2 to 3 weeks. Our primary patient population have usually suffered from strokes, traumatic brain injuries, traumatic fractures and injuries (like after car accidents), spinal cord injuries, and geriatric debilitation.
Job Summary: The Rehab Program Director provides the leadership to effectively grow the Rehab Hospital by ensuring clinical excellence, operating efficiency and financial strength. This includes leadership in developing a strong rehab team and partnership with Medical Director and medical staff to ensure the clinical excellence and operational performance of the Rehabilitation Hospital. The Rehab Program Director is also responsible for designing, developing and implementing a strategic plan to ensure the success of the Rehab Hospital's clinical, financial and overall operating performance and successful growth. The Rehab Program Director directs, administers and coordinates the overall operations of the unit, including the goals and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer.
Required Education: Master's Degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy; or Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare administration with a Bachelors in Nursing or other clinical field. Those new to the role must become actively enrolled in a master's program within 6 months and complete within 3 years.
Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure with the applicable North Carolina Board.Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider
Certification: National Certification as a Nurse Executive or other related field
Required Experience: Five years of progressive leadership. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Intranet software, email.
Preferred Experience: Six to ten years of progressive leadership experience, previous management experience.
