Job Summary: Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the Restorative Nursing and activities programs. The primary purpose is to assure that the spiritual development, emotional, recreational, physical and social needs of the patient/resident are met/maintained on an individual basis. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions. Assist with seeking out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing activities practices. Must have a sincere desire to work with elderly. Must have some understanding of physical, psychosocial, and mental recreation needs of the elderly. Ability to interpret JCAHO and licensure standards and comply with same.

Required License: NC Nurse Aide Certification
Preferred License: None
Required Experience: 1 year experience in post-acute setting
Preferred Experience: 2 years in geriatric rehabilitation or long term care
