Job Summary: The hospice chaplain works as an integral member of the interdisciplinary hospice team to create and follow the plan of care for the dying patient. In addition, the chaplain provides clinical pastoral care, spiritual consultation, spiritual assessment and emotional support to patients, families, and hospice staff. Leads and participates in spiritual, worship and educational programs for hospice staff and the community.
Required Education: Master's degree in divinity, theology, ministry, religious studies, or pastoral counseling from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Educations.
Required License: One of the following: Ordination or Vowed Religious or Endorsement from a recognized religious authority. Valid Driver's license.
Required Experience: One year experience in hospice, hospital, or other ecumenical chaplaincy.
Preferred Experience: Multiple years of professional chaplaincy experience, particularly in a hospice setting.
