Overview

CarePartners is seeking a mostly remote, home-based, Hospice Care - Registered Nurse who provides triage by phone to patients every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6p - 7:30a. The coverage area is four counties wide: Buncombe (the majority of calls), Henderson, Madison, and Haywood. Once the patient has been triaged, a fellow team mate conducts a home visit as a follow-up. About 80% of this work is phone based with an occasional home visit required. This means the candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check, in addition to the other necessary contingencies for all positions with Mission. 

 

The Hospice Care – RN provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Compact license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON; BCLS. Valid Driver's License
  • One year Hospice expereince
  • Preferred: 3-5 years Hospice experience

 

CarePartners Hospice provides Nursing, CNA, Social Work, and Chaplain services to people across the WNC region.  These services make it possible to provide high quality, personal, and compassionate care for patients in their homes.  Hospice staff must be 21 years old, have a good driving record, reliable transportation (for which mileage is reimbursed), and must have proof of insurance with their name on the policy.
