JOB SUMMARY: Assists in the coordination of management activities and provides leadership which facilitates the coordination and delivery of care for Nursing Support Services. Supervises assigned employees and oversees area daily operations, programs, and activities consistent with Department Leadership's direction. Exercises management responsibilities as delegated by Department Manager.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Those new to the role must become actively enrolled within 6 months and complete within 3 years. Any exemptions from the Bachelor's degree requirement must be approved by CNO Advisory Board Council. National Certification in area of specialty within one year of accepting the role. Certification may be in leadership or area of clinical practice. Those actively pursing degree must obtain national certification within 1 year of graduation.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
REQUIRED LICENSE: RN must have and maintain current licensure as Registered Nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing or Compact State as defined by NC Board of Nursing. BCLS
PREFERRED LICENSE: None
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years in Nursing and 2 years supervisory experience (supervision does not have to be in Nursing Support Services).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3 years Nursing, 5 years of supervisory experience
