Role Summary: Provides leadership by coordinating management activities and care delivery for a patient care unit. Supervises assigned employees and oversees area daily operations, programs, and activities consistent with Department Leadership's direction. Exercises management responsibilities through problem solving collaboration as delegated by Department Manager.Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Nurses with an Associate Degree or Diploma in nursing must sign agreement to obtain BSN within 6 years of the hire date in to position. Nurses who are nearing the end of their professional career may be exempted from this requirement with CNO System Council approval.
Preferred Education: None
Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Compact license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON; BCLS
Preferred License: National Certification in area
Required Experience: 2 years nursing experience
Preferred Experience: 3 years nursing, 2 years of supervisory experience
